Turn your creative side into a career. Take classes in design, layout, logo design, illustration, and typography and earn an Associates degree in graphic design.

Multimedia Arts AAS

Enter the dynamic world of media arts as you study photography, filmmaking, and motion graphics in the Visual Communications program.

What is VC?

Visual Communications is a program at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon. We offer two degree tracks: an AAS in Graphic Design, and a AAS in Multimedia Arts, in which students will study photography, filmmaking, and motion graphics & animation.

2023-2024 Dates

  • November 8th, 2023
  • February 28th, 2024
  • May 8th, 2024

All sessions are from 4:30–6:00PM in 4/225 on the Salem campus. If you are unable to attend in person, a Zoom link will be posted an hour to this website to allow you to participate remotely.

At the sessions we discuss our degrees in graphic design and multimedia arts, show examples of student work, provide information about the application process, and discuss transfer and career options. There will be a chance for questions at the end of each session.

Transfer Pathways with PNCA

The Visual Communications program at Chemeketa Community College has partnered with Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) in Portland, Oregon to provide a clear transfer pathway for students looking to earn a Bachelor's degree. Students who select this option transfer into PNCA with junior status as well as be eligible for a number of scholarships.
